Car description from seller:
First and foremost, this is my BABY. I love this car and it saddens me to sell it, but I am moving to New York City and will be there for at least a couple of years and it makes NO sense to keep a "65 Cadillac. So here is the history... I bought the Cadi in Jan. 2007 for $2,500 from an older couple in Santa Rosa. This Cadi WAS 100% original when I bought it. At that time it had been sitting for about six years and needed a new engine or a complete engine rebuild, it ran when I bought it, I drove it from Santa Rosa to San Mateo (about 80 miles) with no problems at all. It was solid from the day I bought it. So after some investigation I decided to get the engine completely rebuilt as opposed to buying a new engine, at the time of rebuild the original engine had 137,840 miles and as I mentioned before, sat for six years. I had the engine rebuilt by Foreberg Engines in San Jose, CA. by the owner George who specializes in hot rod rebuilds. When he did the rebuild he made adjustments to allow for better gas milage using 89 octane unleaded fuel... changed the compression from 220 lbs. @ 525 rpm to 200 lbs. I decided I would sacrifice some power for efficiency , the car is my daily driver. From there I had the original 4 bbl carb rebuilt by John Bishop in San Bruno, CA. with all new gaskets. After putting 2,000 miles or so on the rebuilt engine I replace the original drum brakes with an all new custom braking system. I had disc brakes put on the front and had the drums resurfaced in the rear. I have four new wheels, four new BF Goodrich .75 inch WW tires, four
original '64 Cadillac hubs (I still have the original '65 hubs, but they didn't fit with the new wheels/ braking system). New dual master cylinder, lines, pads, etc.,etc.... completely new modern braking system. I had some patch work done on the exhuast, it is still the original exhaust as far as I know, but that would be next on my list. Though, I can't find anyone who makes
headers for the'65 429 V8... I want to pu Seller's contact phone:(650)-346-5513 Seller's location:United States, CA, 94062
