This 1956 Dodge D500 Royal Golden Lancer 2dr hard top is an exceptionally nice, fully restored, rare, rust free New Mexico car. It has the original mid-season special Golden Lancer promotion package, AND the famous D500 315ci 260hp HEMI, PLUS the Royal trim level. Most of these cars were either the Coronet or the Custom Royal Series with very, very, few having the Royal trim package. It was special ordered without radio, power steering or power brakes to keep the weight down for even greater speed. This car was built in Los Angeles and shipped to New Mexico where it stayed until last year. It has a rebuilt engine, drive train, brakes, carburator and transmission. It has an original New Old Stock interior; Chrysler IBM card Historical documentation; and other old brochures. NOTE: Original stock air breather,not pictured, goes with the car. The Golden Lancer was Dodge's answer to the DeSoto Adventurer and the Plymouth Fury only it is much, much, rarer in that it was a mid year introduction. Drives and runs like a dream.
